INTRODUCTION

Though my first love is composing, I regularly arrange works of other composers.

My compositions include chambermusic, songs, solopieces for piano, clarinet, guitar and other instruments, pieces for orchestra, (mixed) choir and theatremusic.

I'm also very interested in writing filmscores.

Furthermore, I work as accompanist (piano, harpsichord and organ) and tutor.

NEWS AND CONCERTS

On Sunday January 7 2007 Cello octet Conjunto Iberico and soprano Bernarda Fink performed at the “Concertgebouw” of Amsterdam. The concert, consisting of arrangements written by me of several pieces by the Argentinean composers: Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Guastavino and Alberto Ginastera, will be broadcast live by the AVRO on Radio 4.

On that same day the premier will take place at the “Alti” concert hall in Kyoto, Japan of  my most recent composition  “Partita” for solo harpsichord, performed by Sakurako Mitsuhashi-Escande.

My composition “La Noche” for baritone and wind players will be performed on February 3, 2007 in Wisconsin, USA, conducted by Larry Harper, professor of music at the University of  Wisconsin. 

In March of this year, Larry Harper will also conduct my composition “Folia Variations” for concert band.

 At the moment I’m working on the following assignments:

  1. A piece for violin and piano, commissioned by Janne Tateno, will be first performed on March 15 2007 in Japan. Further performances by Mr. Tateno are planned in Japan and Finland.
  2. Three songs for mezzo-soprano and eight cellos, commissioned by Elias Arizcuren, conductor of Cello octet Conjunto Iberico.
  3. Arrangements of a number of compositions by the Spanish composers:  Obradors, Granados and De Falla, commissioned by the Rotterdam Chamber orchestra, conducted by Conrad van Alphen.
  4. Flute concert, commissioned by Eleonore Pameijer, accompanied by the the Rotterdam Chamber orchestra.
